Growing up in the Inland Northwest, Kathy’s next step after graduation was working in outdoor ministry and rural medicine in Colorado. Shortly after, she moved to Denver and worked ten years as a nurse at Denver Health Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center and Emergency Department. During this time, she also taught clinical education for nursing students in the Denver teaching hospitals.

As the opportunity presented at Regis University (a sister school of Gonzaga), Kathy completed a Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership & Education, later followed by her Family Nurse Practitioner. In both degree specialties, she received highest peer, academic, and faculty awards.

Returning “home” as a nurse practitioner at Advanced Dermatology, Kathy enjoys ongoing patient interaction, deepening her clinical knowledge, and teaming with her patients to facilitate better management of their health and skin care needs. Kathy enjoys all aspects of general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with special focus on acne and rosacea, persistent rashes, and skin cancer prevention and management.

Cosmetically, she is an advanced injector with an adamant focus on aging gracefully, simultaneously considering injectables and laser management for healthy appearing skin rejuvenation. Medically, she utilizes lasers for scar revision and the treatment of port wine stains.

Kathy LejaMeyer is married to Dave, and together they attempt to keep up with their four kids pursuing all sorts of sports and outdoor activities!
